to a Sustainable Future

M I S S I O N

The mission of the BOTANIST Foundation is to respect plants and to discover more about their power and beauty.
It is also to contribute toward a more biodiverse and ecologically sustainable planet.
Taking small steps in its efforts to deliver on this mission, the foundation works to spread its values and create positive impacts for plants, society, and the planet.
We can always do more.

BOTANIST-no-Mori (BOTANIST Forest): An initiative to restore biodiversity in a forest

Since 2021, BOTANIST has collaborated with the forest conservation organization More Trees to promote forest conservation in Bihoro-chō, Hokkaido.
In a sustained effort to cultivate a biodiverse forest, we replant deforested areas with suitable tree species such as Japanese white birch.

Revitalizing cherry trees so that they blossom for generations to come

In spring 2022, BOTANIST initiated actions to preserve Japan’s Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms for the future generations. I-ne donates a portion of the sales revenue from BOTANIST’s Botanical Spring Series to the Japan Cherry Blossom Association. This association works to revitalize Somei-Yoshino cherry trees in Akashi Park, Hyogo Prefecture, which is listed in Japan’s “100 Best Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots.”
